ABOUT OUR COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF
You are probably a bit curious about the dude with the camera you are considering working with to create gorgeous lifetime images of your furry friend, Well, here you go...
As a toddler, I was known for getting out of bed before my parents awoke, pouring Fruit Loops on the kitchen floor and driving my banana bike through them. Of course, that was only on the mornings when I was not busy washing my hair with Vaseline or using Romper Stompers (Google them!) to smash Coco Puffs, which were also poured on the kitchen floor. From an early age my mind clearly operated on a creative wavelength that made me different.
I would go on to become co-captain of the school crossing guards and take up macho hobbies including macrame, theatre, music and creative writing. This made me extremely popular amongst the Junior High and High School crowds where I was perhaps best known for being voted the "Rookie of the Year" for the Brunswick High School Marching Blue Devils.
After high school I attended Ashland College financed by a partial theatre scholarship I received by pretending to have gout. (Absolutely 100% true...I promise.)
After graduate school, I married my high school sweetheart and began a counseling based career in higher education, lasting 15 years, before starting my own business. I am blessed to have been successful in each career by being creative, thinking outside of the box and fully embracing the unconventional. And yes, 30 years later I am still married...yep, same incredible woman! I attribute this partly to the fact that I am no longer compelled to pulverize Fruit Loops on the kitchen floor and our children have fur, love chasing balls and wagging their tails.
I have always been crazy about dogs, but in 2011, a new interest was emerging. I was suddenly discovering the world of performance dog training. This became my obsessive hobby and still fills most of my spare time today. I am incredibly blessed as my first ever performance dog, Razzles, became a national agility champion and global superstar.
Then something totally unexpected and soul awakening happened...Photography. Who knew??? Before I realized what was happening, I was totally obsessed and fully immersed. I combined it with my other obsession, dogs, and suddenly, I was living out a lifelong desire to become an artist. Dogs of all shapes and sizes now serving as inspirational muses. It is the best and most internally rewarding activity I can imagine.
As photographer who works exclusively with dogs, I am finally in my sweet spot, doing what I love and of course pushing boundaries to be creative and different. Sure, I am a bit older now and all that Vasoline I abused as a child has created a void of hair, but I am an artist who is providing an important service to my customers. I specialize in creating beautiful photographic artwork of their furry pals. Images they will have and treasure for the rest of their lives. What a privilege. What a thrill. I am proud to be the producer of photographic art starring dogs. I look forward to meeting you and having the opportunity to create magical images starring your bestest furry pal.
